Voting process and conditions in Geneva
You, as well as the members of your family, can vote in the municipal elections, in your municipality of residence. You must meet the following conditions:
- be of legal age (over 18),
- hold a legitimation card from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) type “B”, “C”, “D”, “E”, “G”, “H”, “I”, “L” , “P” or a Ci license dependent on one of the aforementioned cards,
- have a legal domicile in Switzerland for at least 8 years,
- be domiciled in the canton of Geneva and be registered as a resident with the cantonal office for population and migration.
You will find on the website of the Republic and Canton of Geneva the legal conditions to be met and the procedure to follow and do not hesitate to contact the town hall of your municipality of residence .
