The Terra & Casa Foundation is offering newly built subsidised HM LUP apartments for rent at Passage des Morillons, in Le Grand-Saconnex.

These apartments, now completed, are part of the cantonal programme for Public Utility Housing (Logements d’Utilité Publique (LUP). This means they are subject to supervision by the State of Geneva, particularly regard to :

  • household income thresholds;
  • match between apartment size and family composition (occupancy rate) ;
  • rent determination and regulation.

This ensures that rents remain compliant with the cantonal standards applicable to subsidised housing.

Ideally located in the immediate vicinity of international organisations and major transport links, the building offers a privileged residential setting in the heart of international Geneva.

Types of apartments available

The following apartments are available (see floor plans and photos) :

  • 3-room (rents between CHF 990.- and CHF 1’100.-) ;
  • 4 rooms (rents between CHF 1’200.- and CHF 1’500.-) ;
  • 5 rooms (rents between CHF 1’400.- and CHF 1’700.-).

They offer contemporary features and meet current standards in terms of comfort, construction quality and energy performance. The spaces have been designed to provide functionality, natural light and a high quality of living.

Eligible applicants

These apartments are exclusively reserved for employees of International Geneva, in particular :

  • International Organisations
  • Permanent missions
  • Consulates
  • Non-governmental organisations (NGOs)

Eligibility conditions

  • Have lived in the canton of Geneva for at least four years;
  • be subject to taxation in Geneva and pay taxes there ;
  • meet the income thresholds established by the State within the framework of the LUP programme.

Allocations will be made in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and the criteria established by the cantonal authorities.

Visits

In case of interest, and prior to any visit, it is imperative to complete the rental application (only available in French). Final registrations will be taken into account only after the visits and after full verification of the applicants’ eligibility.
