Young Professionals Exchange Agreements

Thursday 31 October, 2024

International NGOs wishing to recruit a foreign national in Geneva must obtain a work permit for this person from the Cantonal Office for Population and Migration (OCPM).

The application process to obtain a work permit differs depending on whether the applicant is a national of a European Union and European Free Trade Association (EU/EFTA) country or not.

Under the young professional exchange agreements signed by Switzerland with 14 non-EU/EFTA countries, NGOs may employ young professionals from the countries in question, for whom a facilitated visa procedure can be granted directly at federal level by the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), for a maximum of 18 months.

Join us for this information session (in English) to find out more about the requirements and admission procedures to employ foreign young professionals in your NGO.
