The Geneva Camerata presents a unique and captivating encounter between two extraordinary musicians: Avi Avital, one of the most renowned classical mandolinists of our time, and Jasdeep Singh Degun, an esteemed Indian master of the tabla. This collaboration, which in cludes the tabla virtuoso Harkiret Singh Bahra, showcases an imaginative musical dialogue that only the Geneva Camerata could conceive.
The program features a diverse range of music, from 18th-century Baroque and classical masterpieces to traditional pieces from northern India. This exceptional performance promises to deliver an unforgettable experience!

A living legend in the world of jazz, Joshua Redman will honor the Geneva Camerata by performing with the orchestra on this special date in Switzerland. This saxophone giant, who has collaborated with renowned artists such as Chick Corea, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, and B.B. King, has redefined the boundaries of jazz and revolutionized the art of improvisation.
The concert, conducted by Bar Avni—who has been the talk of the town since winning first prize at the prestigious La Maestra competition in Paris—will open with two remarkable French symphonic works that have inspired the realm of jazz.

Funk, rap, rock, soul, folk, jazz and baroque opera come together in an explosive performance by four prodigious artists. From the magnetic voice of Celia Kameni to the virtuosity of countertenor Maayan Licht, from the rock-funk flamboyance of Aurus to the crazy rhythmic universe of drummer Valentin Liechti, this programme promises a musical journey without limits. To celebrate the day of the equinox, the evening will open with Schumann’s radiant Spring Symphony.

To conclude its season with a spectacular finale, GECA proudly presents Zambian hip-hop icon and rapper Sampa The Great! Inspired by the beauty of her childhood in Zambia and Botswana, as well as her travels and urban experiences across Africa, Sampa The Great captivates the music world with her bold lyrics and unique rhythms. Blending innovation, folklore, and imagination, this program will culminate with one of the most dazzling pieces in the Romantic repertoire: Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony.

To kick off the season in grand style, GECA welcomes Lido Pimienta, one of Latin America’s most fascinating singers. Committed to women’s rights and the freedom of young Latin girls, Lido Pimienta leads a relentless battle against systemic violence against minorities. Endowed with an overwhelming voice, she shares her convictions with power and determination. Combining traditions, urban universes and futuristic rhythms, this programme will be completed by Brahms’ visionary Symphony No. 2.
