Against a backdrop of tightening public finances and the need to diversify funding sources, the search for funds from foreign private donors is becoming more important than ever.<\/p><p>While most governments encourage philanthropy through tax incentives, these are national by nature and therefore restrict the incentive to donate to foreign entities. Nevertheless, solutions do exist.<\/p><p>This two-part event will address the issue of cross-border philanthropy with a workshop followed by a round-table discussion that will address the context, challenges and prospects of cross-border philanthropy in Europe and globally.<\/p><p>In collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transnationalgiving.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transnational Giving Europe<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissphilanthropy.ch\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swiss Philantropy
