The stores in Geneva are as varied as its culture. You will find all what you want in its innumerable shops and its many department stores.

La rue du Rhône is the luxury shoppers’ paradise where the most prestigious brands vie with one another in elegance and style. 

Carouge, City of craftmen. Along certain streets still beautiful frontages with arcades of the artisan houses of the XVIIIè century. In 1790, the city counted some 450 craftsmen specialized in around thirty trades. If some disappeared, others remained whereas the new ones appeared. Path of almost forgotten trades...

Opening hours of the stores

In general, supermarkets and other stores open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:30 or 9:00 am until 6:30 - 7:00 pm.
Sunday, they are closed.
Exceptions: certain trades (in the stations or airport), or family grocers open 7 days a week, from 8:00 to 9:00 pm, or even later.
