Programme Intern for Sustainable Development

CD4Peace is currently looking to recruit new interns for a 6 month period beginning in June 2021

Cultural Diversity & Sustainable Development for Peace (CD4Peace) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2018 and based in Geneva, Switzerland.

We aim to promote and protect cultural diversity expressions and sustainable development to enhance human rights and to facilitate conflict resolutions and peace-building around the world. We believe that with acceptance and promotion of cultural diversity, there will be a real possibility to achieve sustainable development; and conflict resolution will happen once there is a recognition of diversity as part of the process. 

Cultural diversity and Sustainable Development are two wings for our world to fly in the sky of Peace.

The intern will support the Sustainable Development Division at CD4Peace through his / her contribution in the different areas of advocacy, research, project building, and administrative/executive tasks. The intern will also benefit from gaining familiarity with each of these fields which will provide a good level of experience. The unpaid internship will be tailored to the interest and skills of the intern in accordance with the actual needs of the organization. 

The intern should be available to work 37.5% which equates to 15 hours per week.

Required Skills and Experience

To be applicable for the purpose of this internship, the candidate should;

  1. Be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an undergraduate degree program,

  2. Require the internship as part of assisting the candidate's social or professional integration 

  3. Have excellent written and oral skills in English. (A good level of French or knowledge of other languages ​​is an asset.),

  4. Be open to work in a fast-paced and flexible NGO environment,

  5. Have a good understanding of and motivation regarding the mission of CD4Peace,

  6. Have good communication and strong team working skills,

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To assist in the drafting of articles to be published on the website and social media,

  2. Attendance of relevant conference and the development of corresponding reports,

  3. Assistance with research-based tasks, 

  4. Assistance and participation in project planning, implementation, and evaluation,

  5. Communication with potential partners and sponsors

  6. Organization of campaigns, side-events, meetings & seminars.
