Delegates who benefit from our financial aid, receive specific documentation and advice to facilitate their stay in Geneva. Here is some useful information.
The official language is French, but Geneva is a multilingual city and many people speak English fluently, especially in hotels.
The weather varies greatly according to the season so it's advisable to check the weather report before your departure (with sub-zero temperatures with snow in winter; regularly over 30°C/86°F in summer).
The local currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF), however numerous shops accept Euros (€). There are a different ways of obtaining cash at the airport. There are cashpoints (ATM) and numerous currency exchange places in the city.

For cultural and leisure activities go to the Geneva Tourism office (see below) located  in the town centre, a 5-minute walk from "Gare Cornavin" in the Post office building ("Poste du Mont-Blanc").
