Practical informations for interns

You have been granted an internship taking place in Geneva?

The next step will be to find an accommodation for the duration of your stay.

It can be difficult, sometimes impossible, to find and secure a room for rent (into someone's apartment / house) from abroad. Indeed, it is best to visit the place first, and to see it with your own eyes. It is also always better to meet the person you will share the accommodation with beforehand.

In order to visit potentials room for rent once in Geneva, you may have to first book a temporary accommodation. Here is a list of budget temporary accommodations.

Please note that the most affordable options are often booked months beforehand.

If you will be doing an internship for an International Organization, a Permanent Mission, a Consulate, an NGO (registered with the State of Geneva) and would like to rent a room for rent, please register to our housing program.

WARNING
Be mindful about those offers, often too good to be true, that ask you for an account via financial services, or mention "I am abroad right now, but I will send you the keys via…"; those are scams.
Be particularly careful with offers coming from students.ch
